JFK Files to be released today

What are you all expecting? I have to admit that I'm skeptical that any truly revelatory evidence remains -- I think it was all destroyed long ago. Nonetheless, this has been a subject that has interested me for decades and I do feel unexpectedly strong emotions that whatever evidence is left will finally be released and we will have at least some sense of closure.

I think people are starting to get bored with Trump now. He has said he was going to do this several times now, so who knows.

I think people are starting to get bored with Trump now. He has said he was going to do this several times now, so who knows.

With so many other threads about Trump, it would be nice to focus this on on JFK instead. There is a lot of speculation about the CIA's role in his assignation.

I mean, we have to temper our expectations about what evidence will be left in the files that remain -- this is the same U.S. Government that "lost" JFK's brain after the autopsy; God only knows what else they conveniently "lost" in the decades since. But still, it's important to understand as best we can what really happened.

Nothing that can be released will ever satisfy conspiracy theorists, and it will only drive them deeper into the conspiracies. But maybe that’s the plan?

I don’t think the files will truly be released. Or a bunch of it will be redacted, which will make the files meaningless.

This. He’s been touting this for so long now. Trump hasn’t left the 70s in NYC. High crime, studio 54, urban flight. And the adulation of the Kennedy family - the Catholic outsiders who were loved and lionized. Just like Trump wants more than anything.
