Why are the WALLS parents always bragging...

Anonymous
So tired of my friend whose kid is at WALLs acting like it is an Ivy school.......

The lack of humility, lack of sensitivity to the audience is narcissistic…. Is your friend one? And the question is that this bragging happens in front of whom: Folks with either children in upper tier private schools or kids in other DC public schools? Those who brag are ego driven and hierarchical in the way they perceive their world..it has nothing to do with Walls. It’s the people.

How dare your friend be proud of their kid and have a positive view of their school!!! Some people have such nerve. They should be more considerate of their SUPER insecure friends who are made of eggshells.

Get over yourself, OP. Not always about you!

Bragging is NOT the same as feeling proud and positive.

Because WALLS is the best school in America and the HYP of all high schools.

LOL!!!

Yea, I don’t get why the family is bragging at all.

They should come to Arlington and hang out with hb Woodlawn. How do you get into walls? Is it lottery or magnet?

I bet half of these posts are from the same teenager.

I’ve never heard a person brag about Walls. Usually I hear them say it’s worse than expected. You need to be around new people OP.

I don't know people who brag anymore about Walls anymore than people who brag about how their kid is excelling at JR's APs or GDS's [whatever]. People like to talk about their kid achievements.

Where's the line between "feeling proud and positive" and bragging? By definition it is when it becomes "excessive". When one is as insecure as you and OP (assuming not same person) seem to be, anyone saying anything nice about something they have probably sounds like "bragging".

LOL....Needed this laugh today

Fortunately, Walls parents are extremely humble.

Lol, I mention I'm a Walls parent and people, I have found, make their own assumptions. It's not a brag to say, after you ask, what high school my kid goes to. But I have found that people have very predictable reactions after I say it (Oh Wow!)
