Cottage Cheese Recipes

What are your favorite cottage cheese recipes? Do you have a particular brand and do you do full fat or low fat? I know cottage cheese is having a big moment and want to try it, but struggling because I don’t love the taste.

I mix it with plain yogurt and use it instead of mayonnaise for chicken and tuna salad.

I do the normal bowl of cottage cheese with fruit on top for breakfast.

I asked to do a bowl of cottage cheese with tomatoes and everything bagel seasoning.

It’s ricotta that’s having a moment.

I do low fat. But that's just because I'm a Gen X'r and the fear of fat, although debunked, is something I can't seem to shake.

I use it in lasagna instead of ricotta to get the extra protein. And I eat it in a bowl with veggies and seasoning (for example: chopped cuke, sliced cherry tomatoes, pickled red onion, EBTB seasoning).

Do you have a recipe to recommend?

This is the pp. I use this recipe but use 16 oz of cottage cheese and more cinnamon.

I don't have a recipe for it because I just kind of tailored it to my tastes. But I'm sure you can find something online. My current lunch has been buffalo chicken dip made with cottage cheese with peppers.

Try making your own cottage cheese. Most store bought brands have added slop in them to thicken them and preservatives.

Cottage cheese with mustard - makes a great dip for pretzels.

I like to make cottage cheese muffins (not exactly a muffin, more like a crustless quiche) for my weekday breakfasts. I use the recipe from 101 cookbooks.

I blend it so it’s smooth and use in lasagna.

There's a NYT macaroni and cheese recipe I always use that has cottage cheese to make it creamy.
