waitlist - 4.0/4.7, 1530 sat, high rigor, strong EC. thought wash u would be a great fit although we are ambivalent about st. louis.
4 ED from her school already and knows of 2 RD so probably also saturated. |
| Does Washu always come out early? |
| Acccepted!!! 4.0, 35 ACT, lots of good ECs, legacy: dad went there |
I went to an Ivy in the 90's and thought I knew the college landscape (remember "insider's guide to colleges"?) and I must admit that this is the first time I've heard of this university! |
| Wow, you have no clue. WashU is amazing. Kids with Ivy level stats ED here. |
| Congrats to those who got good news! It is an achievement! |
Kids with Ivy level stats apply RD. The ED kids, especially from private schools, are well below. |
Not from my DC's school. It is surprisingly hard to get in even as an ED. I have no dog in this fight as my kid applied elsewhere but it is completely on par with the lower Ivies for ED admits. Like many things this may vary by high school. Colleges have different standards and/or histories with different schools. |

Missouri’s you are sending at kid to MO that’s just bad parenting
Especially if it’s a DD College is about jobs if you think there will be any in MO much less them coming back here with a degree from Wash U lol 😂 Also MO is a state that will 100 percent require no interstate travel for women of child bearing years. They already have legislation ready to go. |
