What do religious people have in common with atheists?

Anonymous
Some religious people are good and some are bad – just like atheists.

Atheists usually believe in just one less god than religious people (Those who only believe in one God, that is)

What else?

Anger and over sharing.

Here's the main thing we have in common:

What is true is true for all of us.

It validates your own conviction if you hang out in your own echo chamber with like minded people but can make you intolerant to people who think differently. Everyone should try to indulge in interfaith efforts to open up their own minds and of others.

interfaith? That's among religions only. Atheists do not have faith and don't want it.

The only faith I have is that most believers are ignorant, unreasonable, or both.

Believers may be very intelligent, but somehow still believe that they are going to live forever with God in heaven. It's not intelligence that stands in their way. Maybe it's childhood indoctrination and the fact that it seems like a majority of people believe in God. (Luckily, that is changing)

I haven't gotten more intelligent since I discarded religion. I studied it very carefully before becoming a non-believer.

Atheism is simply another form of religious faith. Faith in nothing is still faith in something.

Basing their whole identity on a belief (God/Jesus/science). Most sane people are open and realize there are lots of mysteries.

So what? It doesn't change the underlying premise.
