NVA allowing HS soccer or no for MLS NExt?

Subject line says it all. Anybody know for sure? It’s a determining factor for my player We went ECNL league for this reason but now that it’s changing to Next just want to know whether they will allow the old ECNL rules especially since many play HS

No. That’s a MLSNEXT rule.

They came out and said no high school soccer. Pretty cut and dry.

NO. Why do you think you are special and can have a waiver?

Must have a minimum of 14 Primary Players per team

Future (FR) Players No limit to number of players if compliant with Roster Rules
Able to participate in outside competition within their MLS NEXT club
Able to participate in middle or high school soccer
Can play up to 12 MLS NEXT matches during the Regular Season. Eligible for all MLS NEXT Events

Just because you doing it doesn't mean it is right.

Outside Competition/High School Participation
Primary Players that participate in Outside Competition or High School soccer without approval from MLS NEXT will result in the below fines:
1st Offense = $500 per team (minimum of 1 player non-approved participation)
2nd Offense = $750 per team (minimum of 1 player non-approved participation)
3rd Offense = $5,000 fine for the Club, regardless of the number of non-approved participants. In addition, other potential sanctions for the Club and the player, including removal from MLS NEXT.

Bunch of SYC kids play high school soccer. Who is going to stop them?

I don't get this. A classmate of DD's on an MLSNext team who is also a usynt camp player plays on his the school team. Are you sure its not club by club?

It is not club by club. Is your DD in private school? Perhaps your DD's classmate is getting scholarship from the private HS playing soccer. He can get a waiver and will require MLSNext approval.

No the SYC who actually play minutes do not play HS. MLSN2 can and generally those are the kids you here about.

It is private, but I'm 100% sure he's not on any financial aid.
