Tysons casino - why not?

Anonymous
I think a casino really fits the vibe of tysons corner, doesn’t it?
Trust fund babies dropping millions on high rise condos; loud sports cars street racing after midnight; chinese and middle eastern people packing the luxury stores at galleria; boomers with mclean mansions moving into 10k a month senior homes - a casino would perfectly satisfy the needs of these residents wouldn’t it? Who cares about working class paying less tax?

A) traffic there is already a mess and there's no need for it to revitalize anything B) casinos just extract money from people who can't afford it and so when seniors gamble away their retirement, they need additional spcial services. The economic development (which Tyson's doesn't need anyway) and tax revenues notoriously never actually materialize.

Is traffic a problem to those people? I guess cars doing donuts at midnight, or G wagons cutting 3 lanes dashing into galleria parking don’t think there’s traffic problem.
