Can someone explain to me what this means? Why would a decorated coach from Sidwell join The St. James? Is this an AAU team? Or something like IMG Academy?

Can anyone describe their experience for girls basketball camp/league for st James? We tried a local option and the church it was in was so moldy I just can’t. DD is 8 so on younger end with some basketball experience. Mainly concerned with safety in such a large complex. Also would like to know how hard they push the little kids. Some of these camps have been way too intense for her. Thanks

Coach Dudley is staying with Team Durant this summer, at least that's what the St. James press release says.

The St. James named Book Richardson as the boys basketball coach this week. Does anyone know much about him? Looking at his bio he was a D1 assistant coach for years.

I get that what he did and the entire federal case and charges probably wouldn't be a thing anymore with NIL, but it's still a very weird look to hire someone with that type of disgraced criminal past when you are trying to start an academy.

Per insta, they also hired Walt Webb. He was fired from his last job at a high school in South Riding for recruiting kids to transfer and using the school gym to run his private business.

Its like only the most sketchy people want to be associated with TSJ.
