SYC Offers with deposit request

Anonymous
SYC sends out MLS offers but they just ask for a non-refundable deposit and do not list the total price. Does anyone know if this is to just hold your spot and if you can keep trying out with other other teams even if you accept.

This is common for all offers on clubs. If you want more time and want to check out other clubs before deciding, communicate that.

That would have been smart. I accepted but now I am reconsidering but I am concerned they will give me a hard time. I understand I will lose the deposit which isn't the end of the world.

Once you accept, you are committed to the year.

Nah, that's just a troll. Deposits are normal in travel soccer.

you can resend your acceptance before start of the season. Clubs will let you go but don't bother to ask for the deposit. And if your DS starts going to practices, then you're financially committed to pay the full season. Very common among all clubs.

My concern is that there is not a total for the year

Why? It looks like they’ve been doing well in comparison to other MLSnext teams in the region.

Please share details why they are the worst team? this statement pops up under several topics but no details to support. It's like saying DCU Academy is one of the worst academy in the league.

This is known troll poster. They post almost the same comment in multiple threads. The 2010 boys MLS Next team has a great coach and is ranked #4 in VA. Between the broken grammar and unqualified statement, it's clear to see its a garbage/ troll post.

Don't mind him/her/them. There is a parent who frequents these boards who is literally almost insanely.anti-SYC.

He/she/they brings up SYC, one of their teams, one of their coaches in every topic. Talking about Arlington, SYC is bad. Talking about Bethesda, SYC is bad. Talking about PWSI, SYC is bad.

This individual has been away for a while, perhaps a prescription ran out recently or they are no longer a "guest of the Commonwealth?' I don't know.
