| We are headed to France for spring break and heard they have much better skin care products. Can anyone give advice on what to buy there that you can’t get here? Ideally for a 50ish woman in need of some serious skin rejuvenation (lol) and some products teen girls might like? Thank you! |
| Sunscreen—it’s formulated differently for the European market and is much more effective and more comfortable to wear. |
| Not skin care, but butter, best butter in the world |
| Caudalie |
| a313 retinol creme |
What brands? |

I like La Roche Posay suncreen - the formulas are different in Europe.
Caudalie products are much cheaper I got a Vichy face sunscreen serum this summer that I love. If you're in Paris, City Pharma is the best, tons of products and cheapest I've found. |
| Guerlain and Caudalie |
+1 My daughter went on a school trip to France, and when she asked what I wanted as a souvenir I answered sunscreen. I’ve had friends say, “but they sell that brand in the US, so just buy it here.” They do not like to hear that it is a different formula here. US sunscreens are mostly ineffective against UVA rays. I also like Biafine for burns. |
| La Prairie |
| We had a French student live with us last summer and he bought so many apple products here. It's cheaper due to the VAT. |
A313 is amazing, but i purchase it online from the French Pharmacy store. agree on sunscreen. |
I like LaRoche-Posay, particularly the UVMune 400 line. Look at the labels carefully to ensure you’re not getting tinted or fragrance (unless that’s what you want). |

I found it on Amazon. I really like it. It's an ointment formulation and very moisturizing. |
