I imagine the meeting goes something along the lines of instructing Powell to turn the machines back on again so they can try to salvage some seats in the midterms.

Haha, I love that. I actually like Jerome Powell, but that is good.

Or sell your gas guzzling $65K tricked out Ford F-150 or maybe a Ram-1500 pickup truck that is presently costing you $500 a week to fill up. Poor little poors, bless their 💕 such total nonsense.

The guy driving the $65k pickup can afford the expensive gas, same as the guy driving the $65k BMW.

High gas prices are essentially a regressive tax, that hurts poor and middle class people much more than it does the well-off and rich.

The sigh at the beginning of her response is precious!

I have plenty of family and friends from my home town who purchased giant trucks and SUVs to show they are so cooland "rich."

Surprise: they aren't "rich" and they don't need these vehicles for their jobs or to get to their houses. They are just suckers who tried to keep up with the Joneses.

Do I have an axe to grind? I sure do, I was made fun of for years because I had a cheap small car. Guess whose cheap, small, fuel efficient car isn't getting made fun of now?

Sleepy Joe. Sleepy Joe.
They want to take your cars,
And your trucks.
Your precious Eh-mare-ican trucks.

Can you believe it?
They want to take your precious Eh-mare-ican trucks.

And now they're charging seventeen dollars for a gallon of gas.
Seventeen dollars. Is that a lot? I think that's a lot.

So we'll have to see.
We'll have to see what happens.

2020 prediction that gas prices would soar under Biden. Controls to reduce output, fracking and drilling could cause gas prices to surge when deman steered to climb back from pre-covid levels.

So I Blame Biden.

No one forced you to buy a gas guzzler.

Have a 2019 CRV that gets 27 miles a gallon.

I still blame Biden for his policies.

None of my friends and family are.plowing any fields, lol.

I'm perfectly fine paying farmers more and tradespeople more, whose costs are increasing because that's what they need to do their work. That's fine.

In fact, I buy from local farmers, and pay them with cash so they get to keep more of the money and not be charged credit card fees. On top of paying higher prices for the fresher veggies and meats.

My old friends and cousins who just like to cosplay farmers, I do not feel for them at all. They have absolutely no need for the huge trucks and SuVs, other than to look like everyone else.

Oh, I have the cash to pay local farmers because I don't cosplay farmer and my car sips fuel. Try it.

When indexed to inflation, gas prices in 2008 were similar to what they are now. I recall at the time I traded my big SUV for a nice Honda Civic that was getting me 45mpg on the highway. Saved me buckets of money.

Oh God, shut up you shill.

I have a small car that gets 28 mpg. It now costs over $60 to fill up when it cost $30 before. You notice it and feel it. Not everyone being impacted has a gas guzzler. Typical out of touch democrat. This is why you're going to get demolished in Nov.

Never change, faux working class right wingers. You think you can plow a field with a truck or an SUV? You think these are all purpose vehicles? Take a steer for slaughter in an Escalade? Haul feed in the bed of a Jeep Gladiator? I actually saw one of you clowns hauling a trailer with your ATV (there’s another gas guzzling virtue signaling hobby) in it behind your pickup in which the ATV would have easily fit. Why? Because people don’t buy these for utility, they buy them for looks. And you can’t scratch up the bed!
