What is your typical budget for Spring Break?

Curious what others are spending for spring breaks. Please include number in your family/travel party

Family of 5, ranged from about $1000 for a couple days in a nearby city to 20k for a trip in another country with lots of adventures.

For us the most expensive parts are plane tickets and finding lodging that works for a family of 5. (I'm not a fan of AirBNB)

0. We don't go on vacations more than about once every 3-5 years. Travel for funerals count. Last trip was 2022 for a funeral.

Oof this year we are spending $70k to fly our family of 3, plus my parents plus my sibling and her husband (so 7 in total) to south america for a luxury guided one-week tour. This is probably the last year we can do something like this (because of age), my parents did something excessively generous for us this year, so we felt like we wanted to do this and we can. And my sister and her husband can't afford it, and the trip would be more meaningful with everyone there, so we're taking them too.

The last 4 years it's been more like $20-$30k for our family of 3.

Prior to covid, I don't think we'd ever traveled for spring break, or otherwise. Our income has gone up tremendously in the last 5 years, so whether we spend $10k for the three of us or $30k is kind of a rounding error. This year's expense is just a one-time treat.

Family of 4 (Kids 9 and 12). There is no typical for us. Some years we just do something local like 5 nights at Deep Creek Lake/Shenandoah Cabin ($5K-7K), and some years we go to a Carribean resort or take a Carribean cruise ($10K-$15K). We don't do European trips over SB because it's too short IMO. When we do that over the summer it runs $20-25K.

50k family of five with 3 adults. Sometimes we go over to 70-100k.

Just paid 75k before shopping and foods. 2 adults 1 16yo kid.

Family of 3 - typically around $25k to somewhere tropical.

Max $5k for 3 of us. This year we are flying to family in California so it’s “only” $2k for tickets and a rental car. We will stay with them so no food or lodging required.

Most years it’s driving to a vrbo.
