Clubs drop on girls socccer AGAIN!

First it was TSJ and VRSC split. Next ECNL forces local clubs to merge against their will. Now McLean, Loudoun and NVA move to GA in order to get MLSNext. Girls soccer takes a back seat to all these decisions.

NVA and Loudoun both got GA? How does that make any sense? Loudoun must have gotten GA Aspire correct?

According to somebody in the town hall last night, the Loudoun RL team got a GA1 invite.

If true, that’s going to be a bit … awkward. I would have expected them to be in GA2 while NVA was in GA1.

they're the same club owned and operated by the same staff. NVA is just a rebranding of the top-level Loudoun teams.

Taking notes, the best way to destroy VDA is to offer VSA club -- MSLN1 and GA1 membership.

PWSI/VSA/VDA would be the LAST club to move away from ECNL. ECNL would have to collapse into ashes before any of those clubs move because of the relationships to ECNL/USCS brass. People know that MC was a part of PWSI before right?

Yeah - that won’t happen. VSA may send some boys to NVA because of MLSNext (and it’s actually a closer drive for some), but VDA itself will be the last man standing on the ECNL pitch if they had to be.

TSJ is already grasping at straws hoping they can get into another league, just check their boys 08 IG, 'actively positioning for ECNL/ECRL/MLSN/MLSN2'

I don't have an issue with the girls taking a back seat for once. Youth soccer is built for girls because of the player pathway to college. For a boy, you can be a stud and still not play in a D1 program.

This same sentiment can be expressed for girls. D1 or bust mentality is ridiculous, getting into a D1 school for a female is far more than their ability.

Loudouns RL teams are mostly good enough to compete in GA. NVA will get first stab at the talent and the former rl teams will get what they don’t want or who doesn’t want to play with NVA.

Loudoun's and probably more than half the RL teams in the area are good enough to compete in GA--they wouldn't do any worse than TSJ tbh.
