I’m petty. I saw a compilation of MAGA who FAFO. White woman (in what looked like big, nice kitchen) losing SNAP. A farmer losing $ due to USAID closure. A woman from Venezuela whose entire community supported Trump.

I know, innocent people are being hurt but except for the white woman (with clothes with no holes and a nice looking house) they should know! A farmer who doesn’t know who he’s selling to? Sounds like a bad business person. He deserves this. Or the Venezuelan who thought she would be an exception but was fine with Africans and other Latinos to be deported? Idiot.

Keep in mind, the farmer sells his grain or soybeans at the elevator. It's not some USAID employee coming to his farm with a truck. They issue procurement invites and companies like Cargill, I imagine, bid on them. And to do so you have tons of paperwork to be enroll in such programs, I imagine it's similar to getting set up to be able to bid on federal contracts (I did Hubzone setup for my son last year, and it was a project getting all the documentation they required compiled specifically according to their requirements).

My massage therapist voted for Trump because of low taxes, I went there the other day and the place was practically empty on a Sunday ( which has NEVER happened before). She said people are cutting back and she has no customers, I thought to myself that well this takes care of the income tax problem, no income so no tax.

I can’t believe the stupidity of small businesses and non fed people, they didn’t bother to think that if their clients lose jobs then they lose business, but here we are. I have a couple of relatives in Baltimore who voted for Trump and their business sales are in the dump. I have zero sympathy.

Btw, I am not a Fed but I have 2 brain cells to figure out that pretty much everything in DC is tied to the Federal government.

We were going to do a $150k renovation and I told my MAGA contractor in December we had cold feet because of the tariffs. Sad!

Same. I was planning to do a 300k addition. Not happening until Trump leaves office. Things are too volatile now. I am thinking of investing the money in another country to spread the increased risk that this one crashes.

You seem to be suggesting that people in America should vote for what's best for the people in the DC metro area? Why would someone in Illinois vote so that DC area workers are employed by the government?
