where on the East coast would you go alone for a weekend!

I work a lot and finally have a weekend off. Where can I go that’s a good few hours from DC. I am looking for luxury, preferably an adults only hotel but doesn’t have to be. A place with activities would be great.

For just a weekend I'd go to Palm Beach, stay at The Breakers, spa, shopping and good food.

Kiawah, if you just want to walk around the beach and trails. There’s no downtown/city to walk around unless you schlep to Charleston (40 mins away).

Newport - Find a boutique hotel. Charming area to walk around.

Direct flight to Montreal would be fun.

Direct flight to San Juan will be warm beach and charming Old San Juan fun.

Miami is always easy.

The key thing is a short direct flight.
