Union station used to be really nice. Remember when there was a B Smith's there and companies used to host events there? And it was nice to wait for a train in the station and buy things like chocolates and nice makeup?

Yes. I went on a date there once. At the America restaurant. I was new to DC, and we had drinks in the lobby and it felt so grown up and glamorous.

Yes, I remember, too. It was so beautiful when it first re-opened after the renovation. It was so so scary before that and it’s a shame it has become scary again

My DH goes through Union Station every day and this freaks me out a bit. I remember when I first moved to DC and my office was near there we would sometimes go to Johnny Rockets for lunch. Or even go to the movies after work.

Very likely drug deal or “crew beef” related. But bullets can hit bystanders.

I went to a very fancy wedding there once. And an Inaugural ball years ago.

This happened not far from Amtrak, in broad daylight. Super concerning.
