Worth a visit? We’ve been in Summer and in late Spring (May). Never in Winter or Fall. |
Cold. And generally unpleasant. |
Yeah that is pretty early.
Once went to Maine the first week of May and it was great, but I think we got really lucky. |
We went end of May and it was cold. Though we had some nice days. I can't imagine end of March or early April. |
I think it’s nice without the crowds. You can drive up to any beach and go for a walk. Get in to any restaurant (that’s open). But not a lot to do. |
It's cold and grey but pretty. Very very quiet- lots of restaurants that used to be open in the off season aren't anymore (I don't know why). Cozy time if you want to take beach walks and read. |
Brrrrrrrr |
Cold. And possibly damp. |
That is a little early. Consider September/early October. |
The DCUM crowd, who are very sensitive to the weather, will find it cold, windy and damp. |
Cold, windy and damp are facts relative to global weather norms. Whether that's uncomfortable or enjoyable is up to the sensitivities of the reader. |
My in-law's have a house on Martha's Vineyard and that time of year is generally cold, rainy and bleak. 0/10. Do not recommend.
Early September is the BEST time to go. Much less crowded and still warm. |
Omg, no. I can’t imagine. Even Boston is terrible then. |
You need to go in shoulder season, not off season. My favorite time of year is September to end of November. Then no go until mid April. |
+1. September is great. |
