Seems like we are getting additional information every day. I am waiting until tomorrow to respond. Two of my staff turned it in already. Anyone else waiting? |
Decided— no |
Things that didn’t happen for $10,000 |
Congress has not approved the fork allocation of funds. What makes you think you’re actually going to get paid through September for sitting at home while Trump boasts of getting rid of waste? |
Hard no |
I’m struggling. They are saying VERA is connected to it. Ugh. I’d take VERA but I need time to consider all of the things. Ugh. |
not I |
No one I know at work is even considering it. |
Yeah— don’t let them pressure you into a decision. They may offer VERA or worse comes to worst you could be eligible for discontinued service retirement |
I'm all in for a VERA/VSIP offer but passing on the fork. If they can't offer VERA as a separate offer from fork, then I will remain in wait and see mode. |
I know I know! Plus I feel like normally you’d get time to meet with HR and go over the particulars - maybe in the end I couldn’t afford it. |
We have a bunch of probationary employees on our team. We are screwed. We have no protections and no severance if there is a RIF. But I don't trust the fork at all. I suspect I will get laid off on Friday. |
Nobody is sitting around wringing their hands about this. Those who are taking it have already taken it. |
Pretty sure I saw OPM is letting go all probationary staff. You need to get on the alt national Park service site. They have information about this. |
I would also take a separate VERA but not when it is tangled up in “Fork in the road”. And my email to HR asking if it could be done separately not answered. And OPM page says your HR should give you an estimate of your annuity-ha! I can see what I think it would be, but this feels so pressured and rushed. On the other hand, afraid of being fired or regretting not taking VERA if this is the only chance! |
