Trump Voters: How has he made your life better?

Anonymous
Other than owning the Libs, what about your life has improved in the last 2 weeks to make you so gleeful?

Food prices aren't down
Gas prices aren't down
How has deporting illegal immigrants improved your life? And how will it in the future?
How has shutting down US AID improved your life? And how will it in the future?
How have his cabinet picks improved your life? Or how do you expect them to?

They don’t have one.

There is a die hard Trump supporter that is my FB friend (not in real life - we went to HS together).

Literally, all this man can say is his life was better and it has only been a couple days. He has faith Trump will make things better. Cannot name anything specific. He will change the subject when asked for specifics or refers back to how his life was better in 2017.

The one I know just want to stick it to the “libs.” I guess they are happy to go down with the ship as long as that happens.

Stronger border already.

Shutting down USAID and revealing (just the tip of the iceberg so far) the degree of US funding dubious and corrupt activities overseas.

Much greater transparency (already) of how the bureaucracy operates.

A president who actually talks to the public and opens himself up to endless press conferences and interviews and is utterly transparent in what he is doing rather than a puppet figure with a shadow government behind him that the Democrats pretended was sharp as nails. Did Biden really know everything done in his name? Come on, man!

My friend group has a mixed group of Trump supporters and Democrats. The Trump supporters are now "oh, Larla, your job is at risk? I'm sorry, that's so awful." I'm no longer coddling them. I've been replying, "well, it's what was voted for, so not sure why you're surprised? This was always going to happen." But egg prices, you know.

I am...

1. Not a Trump voter...but I know several in my family/circle of friends.

AND

2. An Anti-Trump voter - voted against the man...not necessarily the right-leaning political policies

Here is where I part ways with the Trump voters....while I fundamentally agree with several of the EOs, I disagree on the method in which they are being implemented.

Trump Voters all believe that "the end justifies the means" regardless of whether it's wrong or unfair.

Example: A blanket shutdown of USAID...wrong IMHO and too drastic for my taste.
But...a true internal audit of where the USAID $$ has been going over the last decade -- yes, which should have 100% bipartisan support! USAID should be completely bipartisan in its spending and only focus on basics of providing food, basic healthcare (and I mean basic like free vaccinations and general medical care) and temporary shelter/housing. Anything outside of this realm needs to really be scrutinized.

It doesn’t make sense. Don’t expect it to make sense.

The same people who claim government doesn’t look out for working Americans and that it’s the “kitchen table” issues that matter have decided to cheer on literal billionaires firing (or making life miserable) for people who are working in order to pay their bills and feed their families. Instead of being upset with the giant corporations and CEOs and Congress, they’re mad at the people who process their SS and tax returns.

These are also the same people who will wave their flags and beat their chests to let us know what Patriots they are, but then support a President who inspired an insurrection and then released a bunch of violent J6 criminals.

The cognitive dissonance is outstanding.

Reading the news is a lot more entertaining now that it was during the dull slog of the Biden years.
