Any Wrongful Termination Lawsuits Filed by Individual Federal Employees?

Anonymous
Doesn't each federal employee who was terminated because of some alleged connection with DEI have a wrongful termination of employment claim? Isn't DEI training or any DEI activity a "protected activity" under the Civil Rights Act?

Where is the money going to come from to pay out each employee's claim for lost wages, lost benefits, emotional distress, attorney's fees, punitive damages, etc.

Yikes.

Are these lawsuits being filed now?

No one has been fired yet. No lost wages.

No these things are not protected. At least the agency is free to eliminate these functions. There is no cause of action.

Moreover the rights of federal employees are limited in suits.

I think they’re on administrative leave for the time-being and not terminated yet, if I recall correctly. I’m sure people are consulting with attorneys and considering individual legal options based on their overall situation and how the laws apply.

Per WAPO, there is an overall DEI lawsuit filed yesterday on behalf of government employees, universities and others likely to be impacted.

All I know is when someone's wrongful termination lawsuit prevails and it's in the news, the award is usually in the millions.

Well, sounds like layoffs are coming (they say because not enough federal workers have opted for the resignation “offer”).

There are lawsuits and class actions being prepared, particularly for the disclosure of private information like social security numbers, which have already been breeched.

BS. Feds are protected from politically motivated or arbitrary dismissal. That’s why Elon is offering this sketchy “retirement” offer and trying to make people resign.

So. Yeah. The big efficiency move is paying Feds to stay at home.

And this was intentional and malicious disclosure. No defense against that.
