Doesn't each federal employee who was terminated because of some alleged connection with DEI have a wrongful termination of employment claim? Isn't DEI training or any DEI activity a "protected activity" under the Civil Rights Act? Where is the money going to come from to pay out each employee's claim for lost wages, lost benefits, emotional distress, attorney's fees, punitive damages, etc. Yikes. Are these lawsuits being filed now?
No one has been fired yet. No lost wages. No these things are not protected. At least the agency is free to eliminate these functions. There is no cause of action. Moreover the rights of federal employees are limited in suits.
All I know is when someone's wrongful termination lawsuit prevails and it's in the news, the award is usually in the millions.
