Birthday Party / Food for Adults

Anonymous
What food for adults have you liked that you've been served or have served at a birthday party? The party will be at the typical trampoline park where we have a room to set out drinks and food. The food needs to be vegetarian since there will be people who are a degree of Kosher, Halal, or just vegetarian in attendance. TIA!

Even if there's food, I rarely see adults eat much at these things.

None. I’m not eating anything in the trampoline park party room. I’m there to drop off, pick up, make a few minutes of small talk. That’s it

What time is it? Is it 6:30? I will be hungry. I'd eat pizza. Veggie wraps. Anything. I expect to be served dinner. If it's 2:30, then no thank you, maybe a slice of cake.

None. Hopefully you're not making me stay but even if I did I'm not eating anything. I'll have a drink but that's it.

Whenever we had adult-specific food at kids parties 95% was left at the end.

If it's morning party, maybe have coffee. If in the afternoon, make sure there is water (could be pitcher or bottled) for the adults and maybe a few extra drinks of whatever the kids are having.

A couple a parents might have a piece of cake if there is extra, but only a few.

I would never expect to have food at a kid's bday party. Maybe some bottled water or a box of coffee would be nice. If you have clementines or goldfish it's polite to have enough to say to parents, there's plenty if you want one.

I find it’s the dads that willingly have a few slices of pizza

At ES aged parties, it should be drop-off. No parents loitering

I rarely see parents eat. Only if it's explicitly a family party at a house/park. Water is nice. My last party ended at 6pm, all the kids ate and the parents just picked up and presumably ate after.

People will drink coffee in the morning, and still and sparkling water in the afternoon. Otherwise, the adult food is mostly untouched. If it's a mealtime, I order enough pizza for the parents but only a few people eat. And I always have enough dessert for parents too.

Just order an extra couple pizzas and a fruit tray. Most parents will not eat.

We have the same food for everybody. There's nothing wrong with an adult enjoying a nice juice box, and nothing wrong with a kid having carrots with hummus. All food for all people.
