Give me some luxury Caribbean ideas/itineraries with incredible beaches, good food & some things to do (does not need to be overly active). The easier to get to, the better but we can travel for the right spot. First vacation since DH recovered from a serious health surgery this past fall and want to make it nice. We've done T&C and love it but I'm trying to get DH to venture out. Bahamas? BVI? Thanks |
I’m not rich but my rich friend raves about Rosewood Mayakoba.
We honeymooned on Anguilla 20 years ago and loved it. We stayed at Cap Juluca (pre Today Show wedding, so it was relatively more affordable.) |
Anguilla, Barbados, Harbour Island in the Bahamas, St. Barts
Virgin Gorda/BVI is great, but best experienced if you arrange to spend much of your time on a boat |
+1 for Anguilla. Another past honeymooner here - we stayed at Malliouhana 25 years ago and have also stayed at Cap Juluca. Lots of great restaurants around the island. |
And adding Grand Cayman to this----it's not the most exciting island, but if your DH liked T&C, he will also like Grand Cayman (and you may find it slightly less boring). |
Now where's the Ritz Carlton Reserve Dorado poster when we need them? |
🙋🏻♀️ |
Exactly what I was thinking! Also, any rosewood. Baha mar. Mayakoba. |
Cap Jaluca in Anguilla. Meads Bay has a plethora of good restaurants. |

Anguilla
Barbados ^^^ Both have luxury resorts. You’ll pay a small fortune, but you’ll have all the luxury amenities you want. If you can’t swing it, go to Grand Cayman—easy flight, nice resorts, very safe to explore on your own. |
All the above, plus Rosewood Little Dix Bay, Four Seasons Nevis, Peter Island BVIs, and of course….drumroll please….RITZ CARLTON DORADO BEACH. Yesssss!!!! The spa and the beaches there alone are magnificent!! Can’t wait to go back. |
What is wrong with people like you? |
The beach there isn’t that great, so I left it out. Fantastic hotel, though. |
