| I have never liked the fake sweetener taste. |
| I don’t understand it, either. Pure chemical taste. I would rather have a real Coke once a month than a Diet Coke every day. |
| It’s so gross. I only drink Mexican Coke in the US for the sugar, but I remember little sips of Tab from some of my mother’s friends and it was different than Diet Coke. |
| Regular Coke tastes too syrupy sweet to me, that’s why. |
| Love the Diet Coke! I wish I had a button like Trump in the White House, when pressed someone brings you a glass of Diet Coke. |
|
It was better than Diet Pepsi which was the first diet cola but it was too sweet.
I was really into it for years and drank it every day. Then during the pandemic working from home I didn't have a coke machine or friend handy to go buy it so I stopped drinking it and found I felt better--I had started to have a feeling of a blood sugar drop or caffeine drop after I had one on the afternoon. I guess it does affect your blood sugar and it contains caffeine. I only drink it occasionally now, maybe at a restaurant but I don't miss it. I felt like I stopped taking a mild drug. |
Same |
| Because Tab was discontinued. |
And I miss it! Got me through college. |
| Diet Coke is a mainstream product sold in every grocery store, corner store, restuarant, and bar in the U.S. -- if not the world. I don't think that counts as a cult product. |
| I prefer Pepsi zero sugar. |
| Because there are a lot of "lowest common denominator" people out there, particularly in the US. |
| Same reason Starbucks does, people get addicted to caffeine. |
Ha,reminds me of this: |
| It’s the drink for old people who started drinking it when it was the only diet drink. |
