Are there any local programs/trainers that can help with resolving this? I really want to nip this in the butt. |
I had it after #2. PT helped a little bit, but I ultimately chose to have it fixed surgically. |
Are you preg or postpartum? |
I tried a lot of ab work but in the end also chose surgery |
DP. Who did PPs use for surgery? |
Laura Ohayon’s program is excellent. |
Is it common to get surgery for this? I thought you just dealt with it and tried to do core exercises over time |
See a pt. This isn’t a crunches and diy situation. |
Pelvic floor PT, Ann Nwabebo in Bethesda got me from 3 fingers to closed fully. |
What exercises did your PT recommend? |
You may have different ones. It’s important to get assessed personally. |
Yep, see a pelvic PT. |
My friend had surgery to fix hers and a tummy tuck at the same time. She looks great. She's in NYC. |
Sometimes it doesn't close depending on how severe. After my twins, I went many years trying to get it to close a little more. Eventually after surgery, i feel great. I could tell immediately. I felt much more upright. I think it must have affected my center of gravity |
Do you feel any downward pressure? Did you get a mesh put in? Here it might lead to weak pelvic floor and possible incontinence |
