Let's just hear the RTO one already. I need to read the language of it.

+1

I wonder how long it will take for the press to get to review and report on the details of all these EOs. I hope we know quickly.

NYTimes reporting, in summary fashion, that federal worker related EO will “require some agencies to return 4-5 days a week.”

If the summary is correct, they seem to be backing off the strict 5 days everyone back in, perhaps to allow for some of the union CBAs, allowing their appointees to work partially remote, etc..

We will see soon enough

For those anxious to see the RTO RO quickly, you need not rely on the press reports. Generally the full EO text and a companion FAQ is posted on the White House website in close to real time as it is signed.

Your agency might push back and exploit any vagueness in language. Or not. So you likely won’t know today.

Apologies, meant EO not RO.

That’s for a normal functional White House. Trump is not that.

Proposals to cut federal employee benefits are also under discussion. Among the changes are:

Increasing employee contributions to the federal pension system, projected to save $44 billion over a decade.

Eliminating supplemental pensions for retirees aged 57 to 62.

Basing pensions on the final five years of service, rather than the last three, reducing payouts.

Transitioning federal health insurance to a voucher model.-WHAT IS THIS?

Unions and collective bargaining
Efforts to weaken federal unions are central to the administration’s goals. A memo circulated by the conservative group Americans for Tax Reform outlines plans to limit collective bargaining rights, citing a 1978 law allowing exclusions for “national security concerns.”

Recommendations include restricting union protections at agencies like the Department of Veterans Affairs, the Transportation Security Administration, and the Defense Department.

I already contribute 4.4% to my pension. I don’t see how this can increase and still be worth it vs putting that into TSP instead?
