Harris declines to invite Vance for courtesy visit to vice president's residence before inauguration

Anonymous
In November, Usha Vance, via intermediaries, reached out to staff for the home's current occupants, Harris and Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff, seeking details including what they would need to childproof it. Ewan, Vivek and Mirabel Vance are all under the age of eight

The questions were initially rebuffed by a Harris political appointee. But there has since been communication between the Vance team and Navy aides who oversee the residence.

Good. Her kids are not Harris' problem. And she knows Harris doesn't have kids (but I guess KH needs to be reminded of that)

Reading the entire article, it sounds like a lot of miscommunication and some ETTD and possibly some fault in Harris/her staffers.

She was never invited to the Observatory prior to being sworn in, due to covid, J6, and renovations.

Sorry Vance, sometimes Trump's actions have consequences on other people. Including you.

The youngest of the three Vance children is 3. Strap heavy furniture/furnishings to the wall and get those devices that wind up the pull cords on blinds (if there are any in the VP’s residence). What other baby proofing do you do for kids who are out of the toddler stage and will have Secret Service protection? What an odd request.

She really is a bitter and petty lady.

Jesus, show some class for once. Talk about weird.

Maybe. Or else she has memories of the last transition of power, unlike so many people who have apparently forgotten it entirely.

It's no surprise that the worst candidate is also the worst loser.

Oh my, given that Donald Trump lost last time and led a temper tantrum that ended with sh!t smeared on the walls of the Capitol, are you sure you want to make that claim?

Good. I am SICK of everyone normalizing the felon and the couch thumper. It was ridiculous at Jimmy Carter's funeral. Just STOP. Drop the formalities for these liars and grifters.

The kind thing to do would be to allow the kids to see the house, pick bedrooms, and ease some of their anxiety with the big move.

January 6 would like a word with you...

Trump was a pain in the a$$ last transition. They are entitled to nothing and I’d tell her F off too.

DP. With young kids (and older kids), it's better to rip the bandaid off quickly. Lots and lots of anticipation makes it worse, not better. They'll move when they move, they don't need to figure it all out beforehand.

Well, next time I want to learn to be kind, I'll look to you, oh MAGA wise one for answers. Rich.

This is the problem with norms being shattered. You can make anyone go back to the ways things used to be done.
