The cancer already got you, so I’m sorry that your toxicity gave you a fatal illness. |
This medication has a lot of benefits besides just weight loss. Reducing inflammation from other chronic diseases for example. I'm sorry you are ill, but who are you to gatekeep this medication? |
I know the thread isn't about me. Some PP invoked the "injectable anorexia" thing. I objected to that term. Then, they accused me of using a GLP-1 irresponsibly, since only irresponsible GLP users trying to lose vanity weight would have an issue with calling it "injectable anorexia." That's the context, people. I hate seeing people who need this medication, have been prescribed it by their regular doctor, and are being monitored carefully by said doctor get stigmatized by others. The term "injectable anorexia" is inflammatory and offensive. Please stop.

My toxicity?? I'm not the one making up offensive names for medications that a lot of people need and have been using responsibly. It's also way out of line to suggest that someone's attitude gave them cancer. |
I never used the term you objected to, and since you’re wishing ill health and lashing out because people - multiple people - wrote things you don’t like, it stands by your reasoning that you deeply deserve both your cancer and obesity. Your rules. |
| I don't understand why people are calling it injectable anorexia. If a person 5'6 180 using a GLP-1 drops to 150 (clearly not anorexic weight) and is happy there, what is the issue? |
Does anyone read the title or posts around here before commenting. This is about vanity weight. |
I have never used the term that offends you. However, this board is full of people who use this drug for vanity and perpetuate terrible body image issues. It’s name of this particular thread for goodness sakes. Strange that you would take the side of those stigmatizing average sized bodies, rather than those who have concerns we are bringing back eating disorders. |
+ 1. |
DP but how about you eat something, you have skinny b_ch rage. |
pp who mentioned that term, now referred to as "IA." When I read the term, IA, the writer was describing their complete lack of interest in food and total lack of hunger. People with a certain eating disorder starve themselves and eventually reach the same state. After a couple of months on the shots, this person no longer "needed" to eat. Hence the term. |
That's not what anorexia is. People with anorexia aren't eating too little because they lack hunger. Maybe the shot could make it easier for someone to starve themselves when they already have anorexia. |
There is a state of starvation where you no longer feel hunger. |
| I know so many people that take it for vanity weight. There must be many ways to get it - online, the concierge ‘wellness’ doctors. |
I had an eating disorder which was precipitated by weight loss due to medical issues. I did not have normal hunger. I learned afterwards that this is not a rare thing. |
