The Gaslighting

LOL

Tulsi Gabbard. Dumb move to put a former democrat representative for the state of Hawaii on the US Terrorism Watchlist because she dared to embarrass Kamala Harris in a debate, doncha think, progressives?

Talk about abusing the apparatus of the state against your political enemies! But hey, let's just sweep that under the carpet.

We know. It's inconvenient and you want to forget it.

Forget what? Some dumb ass story that you made up?

Why exactly are you so averse to facts? Sure, you enjoy the narrative, but don't you ever want to reconnect with reality? Too painful for you to acknowledge that so much of what you believe is pure bullcrap?

Today our leaders stated that political violence "is not a two sided problem", just a leftist one.

WHAT?

What about the MN assasinations? Gabby? Paul Pelosi?

What about J6? Pipebombs at the DNC? Firebombing Shapiro's house?

What about Charlottesville? Atlanta? The Pulse attack?

Political violence - and indeed societal violence - is a plague on our country, and its from all sides. And cancel culture is alive and well too, it would seem, this time from the Right.

I wish people could just be intellectually honest. Emotionally honest. We are all part of the problem and all need to do better. We need leaders to inspire is to be better.

J6?

What about FIVE MONTHS in the Summer of 2020 in dozens of cities?

Threads like this are so laughable.

Ah you mean the right wing Boogaloo Bois who turned peaceful protests into arsons and smashed storefronts, assaults on police precincts and cops murdered? YOUR side's violence and false flags?

Your gaslighting is duly noted. We all saw who created the vast majority of violent riots during 2020. Go right ahead and blame the handful of "false flags" - that's merely a drop in the bucket compared to the rioters, looters, and arsonists on the left who created the hellscape that was 2020. We all know how to google.

Most of us who actually marched didn’t see any violence. You’re focusing on the violence and not the overwhelming majority of people who protested — the ones who did so peacefully.

Much like the j6 protests then? Mostly peaceful. In reality the riots of 2020 killed 20+ people and caused a billion+ in property damages. The only person killed on j6 was an unarmed woman shot in the head by police.

If you look at the number of people estimate to have participated in 2020 protests, the casualties, and the damage, and then compare the casualties and damage resulting from Jan 6, on a per capita basis the destruction from the J6 riot outweighs the 2020 protests by an order of magnitude or two. I actually looked up the numbers a few years ago and don't recall the exact numbers, but there was a stark difference.

Yes. Let’s play this game. Compare the numbers of republicans who participated in J6 to the number of democrats who participated in the riots of 2020. There is no comparison. I lost count of the number of riots during that summer.

In both instances (rioting after George Floyd’s death and the attempted insurrection at the Capitol) some of the violence came from people who hadn’t even been politically active. There were people rioting in cities who weren’t registered voters and people who stormed the Capitol who hadn’t even voted in the 2020 election. It’s crazy.

Remember when Trump said the smart ones don't like him....this is why. We are too smart to believe the BS he sells every day.

I also think it's one trumpet troll on here who is on constant repeat. I think a lot more people right and left are seeing this administrations lies and corruption.

Except that it was RWNJs who infiltrated those protests and committed violence. Check the arrest records. Then sit down and shut up.

It is so typical that you would claim ALL of those crimes were committed by "RWNJs". Look, it's understandable that you would want to continue gaslighting about the violence committed by LWNJs - how embarrassing to have to acknowledge that. But at this point, no one is buying the garbage you continue to serve up.

You should be embarrassed that all the stats show far more violence by RWNJs. You cannot refute it so you just lie and gaslight. Pretend there is a vast LWNJ conspiracy. To what? Make more bike lanes.

FFS you are pathetic.

I don't think there's a vast LWNJ conspiracy. That would require a level of intellect that the left just doesn't have. I think there's a vast LWNJ problem with gaslighting - as evidenced by your posts and this ridiculous thread.

pathetic was the right word.

The RWNJs want to turn us into an autocracy and destroy all that was once great about this country , but oh yeah, the left is gaslighting.

You RWNJs are so far divorced from reality, there really is no point.

From The Economist....

https://www.economist.com/graphic-detail/2025/09/12/is-radical-left-violence-really-on-the-rise-in-america
"One paper by Celinet Duran of the State University of New York at Oswego studied political violence between 1990 and 2020. It found that there were far more frequent and deadly attacks by the hard-right than the hard-left, although left-wing violence increased throughout the study period.

A separate tally by the Anti-Defamation League, an advocacy group, shows that 76% of extremist-related murders over the past decade were committed by those on the right. "

"Mr Kirk, himself a gun-rights champion, once said that some shootings were a price worth paying for protecting the constitutional right to bear arms. But he did not advocate political violence, and relished debate."
