can someone actually share the details instead of being cryptic? |
When did this happen? |
I think it is fake news. if it were real, the poster would have identified the buyer by now.
|
Sounds like it was True |

True expanded into DC in 2022. In 23 they fielded. 2027 team that competed in hoco. No
Idea what happened in years since but I would be shocked if DC express sold to them |
It was definitely not True. Nice try (CM???) trying to spread fake news. |
All the teams are continuing to practice with the same coaches and the same DCE uniforms. I’m surprised if there is new ownership, that nothing has been announced.
Will they be changing their name? |
I doubt DCE has been sold or bought. From what I saw on the practice field today, the 29's will be a lot better this year than last year. From what I gather, that is the general trend of DCE. Sometimes the DCE younger teams get the creme of BLC and are good, sometimes BLC is weak, and DCE younger teams reflect that BLC weakness. 8th Grade teams are a crapshoot, 9th grade the trajectory curves up and keeps going. I feel lucky to have my son on the '29's. I think it will be hard to make this team as a new guy next year. |
If you wish it hard enough, it might come true. |
done deal. Hopefully due to sale the 29's won't have 5-7 players added to the roster like the last several years as they move into 10th grade. Nothing like an extra middie line for your kid to get less runs. I was naive once too good sir. |
Please share the details. |
there are no details because there is no sale. as always, the top half of the DCE roster will get plenty of playing time, and the bottom half will get much less, and those parents will be unhappy. It is no different than NL, MadLax, VLC or any other travel team that considers itself elite and whose goal is to get its players recruited to college programs. and if True or anybody else did buy DC Express, they would do it exactly the same way. there is no such thing as an elite level team with a right-sized roster and every family happy with their kid's playing time. if you think such a team exists, you are still naive. |
True is not involved with DC Express in any way, shape, or form. |
