How are the roads in NOVA? Anyone had to drive?

Just wondering how the roads are now in NOVA (Alexandria, Arlington, Fairfax, Annandale)? Are they treated and passable? Plowed? Anyone know how/where to check? Thank you.

You are asking about a huge area. Do you actually have somewhere to be?

In general, roads were treated pre-storm but snow is still falling and driving conditions are poor. You should not be out if you can avoid it.

Parts of this huge area have online plow maps where you can see plow activity. As it's barely 11 am I would not expect any plowed roads except some major arteries.

NP here. I'd want to know, 495 and 395, from just outside the Beltway into DC.

Check 511 md traffic
It’s a mess out there

Main roads are pretty okay right now.

I was specifying NOVA areas as people will give me road reports from Fredericksburg or Leesburg. Not close in.

I'm wondering too. My 4pm flight out of DCA has not been cancelled (yet?) and I might have to get to the airport. And no, I can't just not go -- I'm a lawyer and have to travel today if I can make it out.

Surprized it hasn't been cancelled, flights were cancelled for much less a week or so ago, but if it hasn't been cancelled now I'm sure it's a go. Stay safe and if you get a chance please update us on the road conditions.

The streets exiting my neighborhood have not been plowed and we don’t have AWD, so, no clue.

Now it is delayed by an hour. There were six flights DCA to were I'm going today: 4/6 were cancelled (three scheduled before mine, one the last of the day), one (leaving before mine) still says it is on time, and mine is now delayed by an hour. So I'm packed and ready to go. Will update with road conditions when I get to the airport if I can.

Update:

My cul de sac street in Vienna hadn't been plowed but I was able to drive over the snow fine in my SUV (and someone else already had). Once I got out to Trap from my street driving was not a problem all the way to the airport.
