I use Amazon a lot for work and in my personal life. I use my Amazon Whole Foods account to order delivery as well as shop in the store. For the last few months, I’ve noticed somebody else’s grocery orders showing up in my order history. They are all orders where someone has picked up the food in the store. None of them are stores that I go to, but they’re all nearby. I’ve called Amazon seven times to try to get this resolved and clearly have not been able to resolve it, which is why I am posting here for help. Has this happened to anybody else? They’re telling me that my cards and gift cards are not being charged but somebody else’s orders are simply showing up in my order history, they’re explaining it as a very benign error. Because I use Amazon and Whole Foods so much in my personal life but also my work life and I have five different cards attached to my account, two for personal three for work, it’s very difficult for me to peace out what charges have actually gone onto my card, what charges have used my gift card balance, or potentially that none of my cards have been compromised. When I call Whole Foods, they will not tell me the payment method used on the orders that weren’t mine. Has anybody else dealt with this? If so, can you talk me through how you got it resolved? Whole Foods has really gone down in customer service as has Amazon and I’m finding this incredibly frustrating. |
Changing your password hasn’t worked? |
Two personal cards and three for work? That's kind of outrageous, no? |
Can you close your account and reopen a new one? |
The order history should show payment details, no? |
Can you report it as fraud and tell them you need a new account number? I’d also delete all saved payments until it is resolved. |
No. Bit for the first time ever my own Whole Foods in-store purchases are showing up. They never did prior.
Since I live 2 blocks from Whole Foods it’s a shockingly long and very frequent list, at least every other day. |
I don't use Amazon fresh but in my regular Amazon, if I go to My Orders I can click "invoice" and it says paid with "(Credit card) ending in XXXX." Does yours have that? |
I would be careful about this and just delete payment info, not shut it down altogether. DH tried to shut his account down and somehow that got it flagged for fraud and then he could never get another one. |
I'm having the same issue with my in-person grocery purchases cluttering up my amazon order history. It just started happening last week. I shop at my local Whole foods several time per week, and those purchases do not belong on my amazon order history list (they are NOT AMAZON ORDERS!). I called amazon customer service and they don't know why it's suddenly occurring. |
They are amazon orders if you are using your prime discount at Whole Foods. They have just started showing up for us, too. C'est la vie. |
I’m sorry, that’s so annoying and it would drive me bonkers. |
Someone is probably using your Prime discount at Whole Foods. But you should be able to see who it is going to, if it is for delivery.
I would be annoyed too! |
Are you sure you’re being charged for it? Our Amazon account is under my name, and we use DH’s phone number at WF, which is not linked to my account. The groceries just started showing up in my Amazon account, so somehow they connected us. That was the number on his WF account, not prime. I use a fake number on prime like I do for all companies because I don’t like spam (it’s an old number and not in use). |
Maybe your phone number is one digit off from someone else’s, and they are mistyping it. I enter my phone number at Whole Foods to activate prime, but I can’t access payment cards unless I scan the prime code on my app. Delete your phone number and change to a dummy number. |
