I’m surprised no one posted this earlier:

The FBI arrested a Virginia man it says had the largest stockpile of explosives recovered in the agency’s history.

Brad Spafford was arrested earlier this month at his farm outside Norfolk on charges related to failing to register a short barrel rifle, but court documents posted Monday seeking to prevent his release outline broader concerns, including that he had more than 150 explosive devices stored at his home.

Spafford first came to the attention of authorities through a neighbor who reported the defendant was using a photo of President Biden for target practice, expressed approval for political violence and shared a conspiracy theory that missing children were taken by the federal government to be trained as school shooters.

I am very surprised the FBI would go after this guy. He seems like one of their fellow RWNJs. There is so much resistance within the FBI to investigation or arrest people like this. Bet he will be out in a few days with an apology from Garland.

Wouldn’t be surprised if this wasn’t an ATF over reach. If they didn’t have their ducks in a row 4th amendment may come into play here.

Probably only investigated because of using Biden’s image as target practice. It may be deemed a threat on the president. Just guessing

He was not using photos of Trump as targets so….everything is okay. If it had been Trump’s photo they would have made sure Aileen Cannon Trump’s personal judge was on the case!

It’s just different laws for republicans. Wonder if the FBI agents will be reprimanded or congress have hearing about the jackboot overreach of the DOJ?

I read a neighbor called because the guy said he was planning something and needed help with it. There was also an explosion on his property where he managed to blow off three of his fingers.

I'll wait for the details to emerge. I'd want to wait to learn if he actually had real pipe bombs in his possession, assuming that is illegal (I have no idea, as we live in a world where owning military-grade automatic weapons is perfectly legal). I'd also want to learn if it's illegal to shoot at the likeness of individuals, be they presidents or ceo's or private citizens.
