What is the age gap between your 2nd and 3rd child?

And do you like it?

2 min. .
Hard but wonderful

They’re 23 months apart, and get along very well at the moment (3 and 5). My first and second are 21 months apart, and they’re close as well. The oldest is not a fan of the youngest, though.

3.5 years. It’s good because kids 1 and 2 are only 19 months apart and that was rough. All 3 kids just under 5 years.

22 months between 1&2 (twins) and #3.

Did not like it during infant/toddler years, but loved it once the youngest was about 4.

This is about to be us exactly! Due in March! Any tips?

The transition from 1 -> 2 was rough but our oldest was SO little - basically two babies. Hoping 1 baby plus 2 pretty independent preschoolers goes more smoothly!

Pp - it’s hard to say for me because I had baby 3 and then 4 weeks later Covid pandemic hit and I was stuck home with a newborn and a 3 year old and 4 year old. It was pretty much hell.

Now it’s pretty smooth. Kids are 5, 8 and 9. They get up on the weekends together and DH and I can sleep in. We will have all of them at the same school for 4 years until oldest goes to high school.

At one point I think all 3 kids were napping in the afternoon from 1-3pm so that was extremely nice! Then it went from kid 2 and 3 napping and I got to spend some one on one time with the oldest.

Good luck! It’s pretty insane but it’s fun! Wouldn’t have it any other way.

18 min between child 1 and 2, 5 yrs between child 2 and 3. The smaller gap was definitely easier overall! The large gap is only easier short term when child 3 was an infant and the older two were at school.

2 years between #s 1 and 2, then 5 years under #3 because COVID put things on hold. But I actually love the age gap because the older 2 were in school and independent-ish whereas having a baby and toddler at the same time the first go round was exhausting.
