3.5 years. It’s good because kids 1 and 2 are only 19 months apart and that was rough. All 3 kids just under 5 years.
This is about to be us exactly! Due in March! Any tips? The transition from 1 -> 2 was rough but our oldest was SO little - basically two babies. Hoping 1 baby plus 2 pretty independent preschoolers goes more smoothly!
Pp - it’s hard to say for me because I had baby 3 and then 4 weeks later Covid pandemic hit and I was stuck home with a newborn and a 3 year old and 4 year old. It was pretty much hell. Now it’s pretty smooth. Kids are 5, 8 and 9. They get up on the weekends together and DH and I can sleep in. We will have all of them at the same school for 4 years until oldest goes to high school. At one point I think all 3 kids were napping in the afternoon from 1-3pm so that was extremely nice! Then it went from kid 2 and 3 napping and I got to spend some one on one time with the oldest. Good luck! It’s pretty insane but it’s fun! Wouldn’t have it any other way.
