Her parents actually seem really interesting. But not the way "Hilaria" presents them.

Also, if you listen to the video, it sounds like a lie that she was born in Mallorca. The mom says she was in medical school in the US at the time of her birth.

It being wrong doesn't mean it's a valuable news story. As many of us have mentioned, to the people in NY who knew Hilary before and who have direct observation of the Baldwins' lives now, this has never been a secret. There were posters all over my gym, one of the swankiest in NYC, advertising classes with yoga teacher Hilary Thomas. She founded one of the cities more well known studios. She was a known entity before within certain bubbles. People knew her background.

Somewhere along the line the math has already been calculated that it's more worthwhile for the media to keep going with this story than to out her. Is that because someone tried it once and got a huge settlement out of it instead? Is it because all the people in positions to reveal the truth have signed ironclad NDAs? Is it because articles that repost her instagram generate X clicks worth Y and it's not worth cutting off that stream? Is it because Hilaria Baldwin simply isn't high profile enough to make the trouble it would cause worth it? Who knows, there are lots of plausible scenarios. Point is this information is not new.

Maybe, but again the point is that white people got woke this year. Covering this shit up- no matter the money- is no longer allowed (not that it was ever "okay" but you get my point). I am sure there are reporters who would love to have this story and would find it very very worthy and valuable. Celebrities not being allowed to get away with this is quite valuable-- and would teach the instagram generation something valuable. I really like Alec Baldwin- I find him so curious about the world and who didn't love 30 Rock - and maybe that's why a lot of news outlets, which tend to be liberal- haven't done anything. But that doesn't make it right what his wife has done. Within the general press though, I am sure there are tons of young hungry reporters that want this story. It could make someone's career, even if they got flack from it from Alec. Especially if they got flack from Alec, actually.

I, for one, hope someone picks it up, or else Fox, Oan, or Trump News (you know it's coming!) will at some point, and they will cite it as another example of how liberals cover up for each other , all to deflect from revelations of some Republican's future unethical behavior. Truly egregious. I fell down the Hilaria Baldwin ancestry rabbit hole (and posted about it 20 or so pages back). This woman is a white WASP with New England roots. Maybe, mayyyybe, she was born in Mallorca (although that is doubtful) and she does seem to have grown up going there in the summer. But there's no reasonable explanation why she would have a Spanish accent when speaking English. Or why she would refer to a time "before" she was in "this country." She has been educated and raised by native English speakers (there is some stuff online about how her father learned Spanish after studying Latin American history, but that's it).

I think the PP who posted about why this story hasn't gotten picked up is right on target. She's sort of not famous enough for this to become a story. Plus she has a somewhat powerful celebrity husband with anger issues. What's the reward for any reporter who "breaks" this story?

Someone already posted this link (I've gone down the hole), but other things in it stood out for me aside from the bad accent-- It's about how she wants "no drama," and about how Alec isn't fake but rather real, and about they have no secrets between them.. Ummm, I'd venture to say that there are some SECRETS about being FAKE that have created a lot of DRAMA and wrongdoing. She also looks quite different from now in face and body but that part is just the gossipy stuff.
