Yes but not to the extent that Freedom does and did. If you knew you would know

What an ignorant statement. You obviously don't know. Langley has to deal with this issue more than any other school district. Lots of Mclean and Great Falls players playing at private schools...ie top recruit in the country on SJC. Also, Princeton recruit at Landon. Plus many others.

Factually inaccurate. So you don’t know. Two players is not the same as six and seven in recent seasons but go ahead Langley dad.

You clearly don't know and have no idea what you are talking about. Its not just those 2 STUDS that were mentioned (5 and 4 star recruits). There are many more. Prep has another two 2026 Poles that get significant playing time on Gtown Prep that live in Langley district. There is also another Landon kid (not the 4 star Princeton commit previously mentioned). Gonzaga's best player last year who now goes to boarding school is from Langley district. SJC has another starting attackman (not the #1 UVA recruit) that lives in Great Falls.

SJC alone has about 6 kids. Private school rosters are littered with these kids.

If you think Freedom losing is 6-7 few kids to PVI is anything compared what Langley has to deal with year after year, you are clearly clueless. Langley loses most of its top kids to private schools every year FOR YEARS. There is no sign of it slowing down as more and more parents are sending kids to private schools.

Y’all need to stfu. Have you ever considered the idea that the top players are leaving their public schools because they suck? Yes, Great Falls has excellent youth and club talent. But McLean and Langley have been ass over the last 10 years. That’s another reason why all the kids leave. If you have a historically good public school program like Riverside, Robinson, Yorktown, or Madison, kids are more likely to stay. #STAYPUBLIC

3. Madison
4. Langley
5. Battlefield
6. McLean
7. Yorktown

Think Madison is too high at #3 with a 5-5 record but otherwise the same order.

Since we are talking VHSL public via MadLax it’s:
Robo
Freedom
Madison
Langley
Broad Run
Battlefield
McLean
Yorktown
Briar Woods

What I do not get is the value and specific mention Broad Run gets for its win via Dominion? Dominion is 2-4 and losses to:
Independence by 6
FSR by 1
Champe by 3
Broad Run by 2

Why such value given or mentioned about a program that is clearly down this year.
Is there a big tie into Dominion from MadLax?

I’m not sure, but when a ranking doesn’t make sense, there’s usually a Madlax connection somewhere. I don’t think Broad Run beats any team on the Also Considered list except maybe Briar Woods tonight.

I would guess those posting here have given that ranking 1000% more time and consideration than Madlax did. they could care less about public school programs. Kids go to Landon

Not just adding a team into the rankings but took the time to write this:

Not much movement at the top but things should get interesting as conference play continues. @freedom.lax continue to climb as they stay undefeated. @broadrunlacrosse enters the Top 20 for the first time following a big win over Dominion while @langleylacrosse6520 reenters the polls following their big wins over McLean and Yorktown

LOL thanks! Gonna see something here you don't see on this forum too often:

You are correct! I forgot to add them, thought I had but only rechecked your post. I made a mistake and apologize for the oversight and thank you for pointing it out. Completely an error on my part and not done intentionally.

Wow! Wish there were more people like you on here. I didn't think it was intentional - I was just fixing for completeness.

Just noticed this but shoutout to Justice for a great turnaround. 2-11 last year and now they are 6-1 this year and could be 9-1 heading into the last game of the season against undefeated Hayfield.

Two interesting games tonight:

Westfield v. Chantilly
Broad Run v. Briar Woods

Think both should be pretty competitive
Anonymous
If Briar Woods can contain #1, and his dodging feeding from X, they should win by 4. But, that is a big "if".

Briar wins 14-10.

exactly right. when Madlax makes errors in public school rankings it is because they do not care enough to focus on the details, not trying to slight one team or glazing another.
