Any recommendations for thrillers or other novels involving BigLaw or corporate law, more generally?
They don’t need to be great literature, nor do they need to involve a ton of courtroom drama. I’m just interested in general with what various authors have done with this setting. Thanks! |

| Yep. How about others? |

I took a class in law school called law & literature. We read:
Bartleby the Scrivener: A Story of Wall Street (you should def read this one if you haven’t yet) The bleak house The stranger Billy budd The trial I can’t remember off hand what else we read but I’ll come back if I can think of it. There’s a chance we read some other books like to kill a mockingbird that I am not associating with the class because I had also read them before the class. I haven’t read a book by Scott Turow but it’s on my list. And not a novel - but Gideon’s Trumpst is a great book if you haven’t read it. If you want chick lit, you could read something borrowed

I haven't read this but saw it recommended recently:
The President's Lawyer by Lawrence Robbins In this high-stakes legal thriller, veteran DC litigator Rob Jacobson is tasked with defending his childhood best friend, a former U.S. president, accused of murdering his mistress. As Rob delves deeper into the case, his growing doubts make him question whether his friend is guilty or if something more sinister is at play. |

Thanks, everyone. I’m listening to Clean Hands, by Patrick Hoffman, and it’s pretty awful. The description suggested BigLaw intrigue, but it’s all over the place and some of the writing is excruciating.
I liked The Boys’ Club, by Erika Katz, better. Also enjoyed Partner Track on Netflix. (Super soapy but perfect for bingewatching when I was sick in bed for weekend!) Would love more recommendations! I know there a bunch of BigLaw lawyers-turned-novelists out there! |
This one is based on a blog the author wrote while working at an actual Big Law firm: https://www.amazon.com/Lawyer-Novel-Jeremy-Blachman/dp/0312425554 The blog was active when I was in law school and I remember reading it. I think the blog was better than the book but it's been a while since I read either. |
Thanks - this is the kid of story I had in mind! https://www.amazon.com/Shadow-Law-Novel-Kermit-Roosevelt/dp/0312425880 |
