| My eyes are suffering so much from all computer days, and my brain is fried from the massive amount of info I have to process each day, plus constant team contact as I do it. It’s too much tech and multitasking. What could I do that would be simple, straightforward, low stress? Low pay is fine if health insurance provided. |
| Grocery store clerk? Retail? |
| School teacher’s aid, retail full time position, library assistant, front desk at a gym, customer service from home, etc… |
Don’t pick any position in a school if you are looking for low stress! |
|
Any position in restaurants. They will hire you without experience. You can move from being a host or busser to waiter, bartender and then manager.
Way more money a more flexible than retail or school. They also feed you which is awesome. |
| Grocery. |
| Starbucks is known for providing decent benefits. |
Both probably low stress but you're on your feet all day which is way harder than looking atva computer. Real low stress would be working as a receptionist/front desk person at a place like ferguson. Not a ton of people coming in, probably low pay though but a fairly easy job. |
NP but Starbucks looks stressful - those baristas work hard! |
Talk about stress and multitasking… |
+ 1 And many of these jobs involve a lot of carrying heavy stuff around. |
| Librarian? |
Every librarian I know spends a huge amount of time in front of a computer. Librarians now are experts in databases, knowledge management, research tools and strategy, vendor relationships etc. and work at the computer all day. The people shelving books are not librarians. |
It also requires a master’s in library science, and getting that degrees requires you to spend tons of time in front of a computer and mastering technical skills. |
+100. Amen says a librarian! |
