I've read through the mind numbing 56 pages on the "TSJFC" thread where parents act like children. I was hoping to see more information about their boys clubs but all I saw was bickering over their Girls teams.
That being said, what I do know is they have an internally ran Rec program, a pre-travel Academy for U8 and below, and travel teams. What I don't know is what programs their travel teams belong to. I also would be interested to know if they are currently performing well and what the trajectory of their boys program looks like. Please, I beg you, leave the politics of fields and other TSJFC rants out of this. I just want to know if they have an aspiring boys club. Thanks! |
| FCV had a boys decent program a while back, went to all girls, and in the last few years is trying to create one again. There is not a lot of evidence that the program is doing well or will survive long term. Don’t go by what the club says about their boys program. Go by facts: number of teams, coaching staff, league, etc. The information is out there |
| Run away from anything FCV/AB at this point. |

Top team for boys is div 3 in the younger she groups. Take that for what you will. They are trying really hard to get a boy's program consistently going every year. It always seems to basically fall apart every year, though. They brought in a Loudoun boys coach that the families like a lot better than when Adam ran the younger teams. To be frank, a number of the boys left after the siding because Adam was toxic with anger issues. He was kicked out of games for telling at arguing with refs. He is not handling the teams anymore, though.
I think they are worth checking out; but don't expect top teams in the area level of players there right now. |
FCV boys > revolution solar |

Go to https://www.ncsl-soccer.com/schedules-and-results and look up the age group you son is in. If you don't see a team, chances are FCV doesn't have a travel team in that age group.
Another thing to consider is whether the boys team is aligned to the North (ashburn) or South (springfield). |
Hi Adam. No one asking for you to chime in. Please for the love of God stop making it harder to recruit boys. |
| 2015B North top team is good |
So is the 2015B middle team (Black?) lots of potential and a good coach. |
These have to be AB posting. What does good even mean for 9 year old boys? |

OP here. Glad to hear actual feedback, thank you.
For what it's worth, my son is of pre travel age so I'm more interested in the coaches ability to develop and for the programs trajectory rather than the current standings and records. I like the facilities ability to house practices indoor year round. |
| I saw their younger teams play this weekend at a tournament, and they were good. If your kid can get on the pre-academy team then it’s worth it. |
No one practices indoor year round. Are you referring to St. James in Springfield? They don't actually use that facility year-round for soccer. Not sure about the boys but the girls mainly practice on the George Mason Fields in the South and Hal Bernie in the North. |
| FCV was a dominant girls club, never really had a boys side. Took on Barca and killed that program. Revolution isn't much more competitive either. Loudoun, VSA, Valor, Herndon, GFR. |
Where are all the weirdos gonna crawl and hide into when FCV boys beats the commies from Revolution? 🍿 |
