Has anyone heard get?

Not my kid…but why would you.

Indiana says you will hear by January 15. Is there some reason to believe the first acceptances will happen by 11/20?

NP Last year acceptances started in November even though the website had a later date. This happens at a lot of publics. OP check College Confidential thread for people posting when they hear. This forum is not good for that info unless you want T25.

Disagree. I’ve been looking here for news on when Indiana will start to roll out, agree it could be any day. Kelley is T15 for business, btw.

Question about Indiana ... the way people talk about it here, I had assumed it was medium-competitive. I looked up the acceptance rate, and it said 82.4%. But the stats were pretty high -- something like a 3.7 average GPA and SATs midrange 1230-1340. Any recent real-world experience? Can a B student (true B) get in?

It's 1180 - 1380 with only like 55% of applicants submitting.

I read that they are being more strict with releasing this year since they are no longer rolling and viewed last year as a transition from rolling to EA. So apparently Dec 15 is the start and they will be hopefully doing IU and Kelly together starting with the auto direct admits.

OK! My kid should be in the mid-1200s. I think he'd like it.

Keep in mind there is a wide variation there across programs, so things like the business school will attract high stats while others not so much.

A friend‘s daughter is leaving Indiana after her first semester as a freshman. She hates it. She visited twice and loved it. came from a New England private boarding school.

Do you know why she hates it?

I can see the boarding school --> Indiana trajectory not going well.

What does she not like? My DC has it as a safety, but they have pretty much said they won't go b/c they are having 2nd thoughts about going to Indiana (as a state).

I wouldn’t worry about it that much. Bloomington and the IU campus are pretty much their own world.

Kelly needs a direct admit of 3.8GPA and a 1370 SAT or higher. That's a non negotiable.
