Tariffs.....Is he bluffing?

I don't think he will impose the 20% tariffs on all imports and 60% on all Chinese imports.

| Thats a good question. He follows his instincts a lot and he really loves tariffs. He talks about them a lot. I think he will be disappointed if he doesn't implement them. |

Tariffs will not affect me because I am wealthy and inflation doesn't really impact me because I buy more services than goods.

God I hope not because that is the entire reason my family voted for him for all the tariff checks we are each going to be getting.....

Why would people who voted for him because he was going to enact tariffs want to support someone who lies and doesn't actually do it.
This is what I have not understood about his base. They love him because he tells it like it is but then also says oh he's joking or stop being so serious and take everything he says seriously... I mean, which is it? Does he tell it like it is or does he just make s*** up? |

To be fair the vast majority of people(both educated and uneducated )who voted for him do not know what a tariff is. Taxes are easier to understand for the layperson. A lot of his voters view tariffs just as another policy tool that will benefit them.
In America we trust people who are very wealthy. It's in our blood to want to be filthy rich. So we have a tendency to simply surrender and trust those people male decisions for us just because since they are richer than us they must know better |
