Ric Grenell

Now that Marco Rubio seems to be SoS pick where will Ric Grenell have an opportunity to serve. He was the first openly gay Cabinet member as he was an acting Secretary before in Trump administration. His background in diplomacy and security is extensive. Anyone have insight?

Yeah, what happened to this guy? He's way more qualified than any of the current names that were selected.

Did he and Trump have a falling out?

I didn’t think so and maybe Rubio interviewed better but there should be a significant role for him. He is so impressive His career goes back years and it isimportant t to have a member who can work with many different parties. I think he helped a lot with Michigan. Our family also has LGBTQ members who voted R and he has been a role model so again hopefully he is not overlooked.

Yes I actually thought various candidates meet with the President and assumed the same for Biden. Perhaps I am naive but yes this is how I thought it goes for all Presidents.

Expect the DEI appointments to be a thing of the past. He has no need for these guys anymore. It was a different story his first term.

I don’t think he’d be the worst choice, I just don’t see Trump voters banging down the door for him. Maybe they’ll probe us wrong.
