This whole thing is to get support for vouchers and charter schools off the ground when the disaster ensues. Is he going to give the title I money back to the states also or have make do with the local taxes?

Since the DoEd's inception, US school test scores have consistently declined. Send the power back to the people. Not a gov mandated curriculum.

The states decide their standards. Some states voted to adopt common core and some didn’t. VA has its own standards. The school districts then get to choose their own materials so long as it aligns with the state standards. There is no national curriculum.
