| Wow, this thread is starting to die. |
All good things must come to an end. |
| BY peeps are dead |

Denial:
This initial stage involves disbelief or a refusal to accept the reality of the loss, often characterized by shock or numbness. Anger: As the reality of the loss sets in, individuals may experience anger, directed at themselves, others, or even the situation itself. Bargaining: In this stage, individuals may try to regain control or make deals to undo the loss, often expressing feelings of "what if" or "if only". Depression: This stage involves deep sadness, withdrawal, and a sense of hopelessness, as the gravity of the loss becomes apparent. Acceptance: While not necessarily a "happy" stage, acceptance involves coming to terms with the loss and finding a way to move forward, acknowledging the reality of the situation. Were in the depressed stage. It will pick back up. |
| 1000! Let’s get to Acceptance already! |
How? I look forward to hearing about which clubs are taking action sooner rather than later. Hopefully clubs start being identified. |
ECNL will announce its plan in May. We will know at that time what they plan to do. Until then, just treat nothing is going to change. |
💯 |
I'm not concerned with ECNL, my Q4 kid is younger than that. As some PP have mentioned some clubs are being proactive, I suspect our current club will not. Hopefully some more nuggets are shared in the next month as tryouts roll out. |
Where is this may timeline coming from? |
|
USYS biggest league Cal South is having a virtual meeting and q and a for what’s happening with the BY/SY changes and when.
Go on their Instagram for more details. |
It’s not the BY people sitting out, it’s everyone except for the totally insane SY parents. The ones still left are the ones that think their 5th team December kid is now 1st team. The parents that can’t wait until 2026. The parents that that can’t fathom why MLSN hasn’t announced SY yet. The parents who see a DOC talking to them because of their kids hard work as some confirmation of a previous conspiracy to favor Q1 kids. The Q4 parents who have discovered the underdog effect of RAE and think it says something positive for their SY age cutoff child in the future. And so on. You all are boring and are congratulating yourselves for the future your child is, according to you, destined to have because of their birth month. 🥱 that is why this thread is slowing down. It’s stupid, and other threads are now more germane. |
Now that you mention it, my arm is kind of sore from patting myself on the back. Good job Team SY/Q4! We rock. |
| Ready to move on. Leave the link of other threads to follow after I close this one out! |
