School in California-
A, B, C and D The day starts with a school wide Halloween costume parade and ends with a class Halloween party. A few days ago the younger kids went to a pumpkin patch field trip and a few Saturdays ago there was a Fall festival with a heavy Halloween theme, including a Haunted House created by 6th graders. |
| K-5 school in a small city in a purple state out west. A, B & C. B really depends on the grade and teacher. K-1 always had a party with crafts and snacks organized by the teacher and maybe a parent. 2-3 had something small organized by the teacher. 4th had snacks brought in by parents (no coordination) and a movie. This year there’s been no talk of snacks, so I think maybe a movie? Pre Covid, the parade did not include the 5th graders, but Covid moved it outside so now all are included |
Why wouldn't they include the 5th graders? |

Pacific NW private k-8, ABC
It’s an exception out here. Some schools had weekend Fall Festivals last week but they are harvest/fall-focused and don’t hint at Halloween. |
I'm also in the PNW. Our catholic school goes all out and it's A, B, C and D. The public schools in our (very wealthy) area have banned costumes because they're "not equitable". In a town where the average hone price is almost 2 million. Insanity. |
