sounds pretty bad--kid still hospitalized. 5 on 1

I was wondering if anyone has the details on this one. Based on the bare details given there's more to the story:
Teenage boy standing alone is confronted by 5 boys who ultimately steal his ski mask (? why does he have a ski mask) and walk away. Teenage boy 1 and his friend then go fight the group of 5 and end up being seriously injured. So uh, what's the scoop? |
A facemask or a ski mask? Was the person with the ski mask special needs? Otherwise seems very odd to have one on a warm day. |
The police report says ski mask. IDK. |
Ski masks are in fashion particularly in cities. |
Arlington is not a city. And they aren't fashionable here. |
My daughter said they likely had a ski mask on because they knew they were going to be jumped... like a disguise. |
Great way to disguise: make yourself stand out by wearing something that makes you stand out. |
These are kids. |
I can’t help but note that two boys (or kids) went up to a group of five kids and took them on? No, of course it doesn’t make it OK they got injured, but it does point to a really bad case of judgment. |
Between that and their effort to "disguise," sounds like they were proactively pursuing trouble. |
Yeah sounds really sus. |
I live in Arlington and have a teen. We live outside DC where ski masks are very fashionable. But I love that Becky from Washington Golf is telling me what’s in fashion for a subset of kids at W-L. |
So some kids got in a fight? Ok. |
Exactly. Oh wow, teens are fighting?! And they'll all be caught because it was right after school and there were lots of witnesses. There's no violent person on the loose. Just some kids who will now most likely be expelled from school. Sigh. |
