Why are there Alsobrooks signs in DC?

Why is Angela Alsobrooks campaigning in downtown DC? I literally just drove past a big property under construction in downtown DC where she is actively campaigning. Why?

As pointed out, there are many MD commuters to DC who live in the burbs and work in the city. Also, since DC is a Congressionally controlled city, they have a vested interest in making sure that MD and VA Senators, the ones most likely to fight for DC rights due to constituents that work in the city, are Democratic since the city has a strong Democratic tilt.

Why the hyperbole when there is zero chance that there will be any restrictions on abortion in Maryland? We literally have one of the world's most liberal policies, allowing abortion until birth. There is also zero chance that a national abortion ban would pass Congress, even with Republican majorities, and Trump has vowed to veto. Really, get a grip.
