Did you get you teen a covid shot?

I’m on the fence. We had them get the first shot but not the boosters. DH is adamant they get the covid shot from now on.

Nope.

Yes, with our flu shot

No. We are not getting them anymore.

We only got the flu shot.

Yes.

The first two, yes, boosters no.

I promise I'm not a paranoid still wearing masks, but can the folks saying no say why? At this point, why isn't it any different from getting the flu shot?

My kid's school is having a voluntary vax clinic where she will be getting one. I specifically asked her doctor if she should get it or not. She said yes and vaxes her teens, too.

I’m going to get DC both shots but not at the same time, spaced out.

No boosters. Original shot, yes.

Pediatrician doesn’t think it’s necessary for teen boys.

The first shot, years ago when it was first available, but not after that. Too many scary stories about side affects from the shots and the kids have had Covid and were symptom free so the shot is worse than the disease, at least at that age level.

Why bother with the flu shot if you don’t think you should get a COVID vax. Seems stupid.

COVID is still more deadly than the flu - https://www.medpagetoday.com/infectiousdisease/generalinfectiousdisease/110126

Yes, we did. Our teen felt pretty strongly about it, which surprised me. I would space the Covid and flu shots out if you can - our family did them together last weekend and three out of four of us felt pretty bad for about 1-2 days.

We're planning to, soon.
