| We planned a short trip to Florida with extended family around Christmas time. My aunt is suggesting we should cancel, but that thought hadn’t occurred to me. We’re staying in the West Palm Beach area, which I tend to think will be tourism-ready by then, but probably much sooner. Thoughts? |
| That area is fine now |
| I would cancel. Who wants to spend their vacation in a state that hates gay people and has outlawed teaching about our country’s history with racism? |
| West Palm was not affected. It’s fine. |
| West Palm Beach is fine. |
+1 Not spending a dime in FL or TX |
Is your aunt the host of your visit? |
| They were always fine and hurricane season will be over. You should go. |
| West Palm is fine now. |
No, Florida was simply a warm place that is easy to reach for all of us coming from different parts of the U.S. |

| I don't understand the question. Nothing happened in Palm Beach. What is your Aunt even talking about? |
Tell me how this attitude helps the tourism employee who is a fourth-generation Floridian, is gay, is a solid blue voter? There are roughly 4.4 million registered Democrats in Florida and another 4.0 million with no declared party. And 5.4 million Republicans. If you want change, you have to support those who are trying to do it. |
+1 It's both inane and actively counterproductive. |
Maybe your aunt is not up for visitors this year? Is she in good health? Were you planning on staying with her? |
